About the role
We are hiring a second Operations Manager to sit alongside our existing Operations Manager, as part of our continued growth and development plans. This role requires a candidate with proven, hands-on experience, ideally in field engineering, warehousing or retail IT service delivery. You will be responsible for key areas of our operation including the day-to-day management of multiple warehouse sites, stock control, and a UK-wide team of Break-Fix Engineers. You will also take direct operational ownership of two contracts.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
You will take operational ownership of the following areas:
Warehouse & Stock Management
* Overall responsibility for KFP-managed warehouse sites in: Abingdon, Wakefield, Glasgow, Ireland & Germany.
* Leadership of all warehouse Teams
* Stock management, control, and reporting across sites
* Oversight of inbound/outbound movement, inventory accuracy, and site compliance
* Driving process improvements, efficiency, and accountability across warehouse operations
Engineer Management
* Managing our team of field-based Break-Fix engineers
* Ensuring field engineer scheduling, support and performance meets SLAs
Client Operations
* Day-to-day operations lead for delivery of two contracts
* First-line ownership for client escalations relating to operational service
* Supporting commercial and client services teams with delivery data and insights
Other Responsibilities
* Coordinating across departments to eliminate blockers and deliver end-to-end service
* Escalating risks to the COO and feeding into wider strategic planning
* Contributing to documentation, reporting, and operational standards
You will work closely with our existing Operations Manager and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. You will have access to the wider operations, scheduling, HR and finance teams to support your objectives.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in leading and managing teams of engineers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an operations management role, preferably within the retail IT sector. Experience in managing large-scale projects is highly desirable, as this role will involve supporting a major IT rollout across the UK. Strong organisational and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and drive successful project delivery.
