Role: Road Freight Business Development Manager
Location: Immingham
Package: £40,000 - £45,000 + Car Allowance (£800 PCM), Bonus
We're working with a well-established, fast-moving logistics operator looking to strengthen their commercial team with a high‑calibre Business Development Manager focused on road freight.
This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. It's about growth. Opening doors, winning new business, and building something meaningful in a market that still values relationships as much as rates.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of developing new road freight business across the UK and European lanes, with a particular focus on full load, groupage, and time‑critical solutions.
* Actively prospecting and winning new customers
* Building long‑term, commercially valuable relationships
* Working closely with operations to ensure service delivery matches the sale
* Identifying opportunities across existing networks and untapped sectors
* Bringing structure and consistency to your pipeline
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record as a road freight business development manager (or similar)
* Strong understanding of UK & European transport markets
* Commercially sharp – you know where margin lives and how to protect it
* Self‑sufficient – you don't need hand‑holding to generate leads
* Credible with customers, from SMEs to larger corporates
