Position Overview
The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring incoming components and products meet ERP, industry, and customer-specific standards. This position involves detailed inspections, documentation, and reporting to maintain high-quality standards and seamless production workflows. This role demands attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect incoming components and product against ERP, industry, and customer specific requirements.
* Basic dimensional verification of product using various measuring devices
* Checking of traceability requirements and documentation
* Checking and inputting of product shelf life
* Checking chemicals for compliance, shelf life, and CofC documentation
* Use of electronic measurement equipment to determine compliance against customer drawings.
* Raising and maintaining quality documentation
* Raising defect reports for non-conforming product
* Liaising with purchasing to obtain RMA for non-conforming product
* Working to tight deadlines to ensure continuous supply to production demand
* Maintaining the defect database
* First off inspection

Competency
* A minimum of 5 Grade C+ GCSE’s
* Good communication skills, both verbally and written
* Good interpersonal/relationship building skills
* Good understanding of components and product, electrical and mechanical
* Excellent attention to detail
* Numerate
* Ability to show proactiveness rather than reactiveness
Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities – DESIRABLE
* Ability to work in a team-orientated environment but also able to demonstrate results working independently
* Basic understanding of electronic manufacturing
* Previous inspection experience or similar quality role
* PCB inspection qualified
