We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join a SEND School in Warminster. This is a full-time, long-term Support Worker role supporting children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this Support Worker position, as the role includes transporting pupils to and from school, appointments, and off-site activities.
As a Support Worker, you will work closely with pupils with autism, learning difficulties, communication challenges, sensory needs, and SEMH needs. This Support Worker role is varied, rewarding, and ideal for someone who thrives on building strong relationships and providing consistent support.
We Are Looking for a Support Worker Who:
1. Is calm, patient, and adaptable in a Support Worker role
2. Holds a full UK driving licence and can transport pupils safely
3. Has experience in SEN, SEMH, care, youth work, or similar settings (or a strong interest in SEN support)
4. Understands that behaviour is communication and adjusts their approach accordingly
5. Builds trust quickly and provides consistency for pupils
6. Works effectively alongside teachers, TAs, therapists, and pastoral staff
7. Manages challenging situations safely and professionally
8. Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
9. Is looking for a long-term Support Worker role where their contribution makes a real difference
About the Support Worker Role:
10. Full-time, long-term Support Worker position based in Warminster
11. Supporting pupils with a broad range of SEN and SEMH needs
12. Transporting pupils to and from school, appointments, and off-site activities
13. Providing 1:1 support, small group support, and classroom assistance
14. Supporting emotional regulation, independence, routines, and engagement
15. Working closely with school staff and multi-disciplinary teams
The role will start on a temporary basis, with a strong opportunity for a permanent Support Worker position for the right candidate.
