Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of food quality.
* Oversee food production, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures.
* Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences.
* Coordinate food preparation activities to meet service times efficiently.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area in accordance with industry standards.
* Serve as a role model in hospitality excellence, demonstrating professionalism and dedication.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a culinary role with demonstrated leadership capabilities; supervising experience is highly desirable.
* Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
* Experience in food safety standards and regulations within a professional kitchen environment.
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.

* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
