We are currently looking for an experienced and committed Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you'll work with management to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered. We're a proactive, hands-on team and passionate about what we do and the young lives we're privileged to support.

What will your role involve?

Each day brings something new in residential childcare. You'll be a consistent and positive presence in the home, supporting with everyday routines like school drop offs, attending medical appointments, helping with household tasks, shopping, and preparing meals. You'll build genuine, trusting relationships with the children, creating a home environment where they feel heard, supported, and encouraged.

Day to day you would be..

* Supporting children to attend clubs, appointments, and activities
* Participating in key daily moments like mealtimes, bedtime routines, and reflective conversations
* Keeping accurate and detailed records, including daily logs and medication administration
* Ensuring a safe and well maintained home environment through checks and responsibilities to keep the home running smoothly.

In your senior role, you'll also take on:

* Supporting the creation and delivery of personalised care and support plans
* Mentoring and guiding team members as a shift lead
* Taking part in professional meetings and reviews
* Building strong, open lines of communication with families and external professionals
* Advocating for the needs of the young people in our care
* Promoting emotional resilience, independence, and confidence in the young people you support

* Funded Level 4 within residential childcare – Since using the training provider, we have understood more of what they offer, and they have provided learning opportunities that align with learning the role and this sector, therefore we prioritise enrolment onto the course as you desire. Currently, the course does not require a commitment to complete the functional skills element, however if you have a wish to complete this we would support this.

Requirements:

* Passionate about supporting better futures for children and young people
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the home, this role is made up of shift work (Including sleep in's).
* Full Uk Driving licence – Company cars are provided to utilise when on shift.
* It is vital that we safeguard children and young people therefore the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and the recruitment process adheres to the safer recruitment legislation.

The role is part of a small team within our 2 bed OFSTED registered home, working on a rota basis. A sleep-in element is required and starts at 10pm. This is paid in additon to your hourly rate.
