For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
Evidence of Catholic Church Approval - Applicants must obtain Catholic Church approval and submit proof prior to interview. Pending approval, confirmation from the Church Representative will be sought.
Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must hold the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and information are available at SCES website.
Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need RC Approval for the specific school. Details are available at SCES website.
Responsibilities
This role is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership with the PVG scheme is required, or a PVG update check must be completed prior to appointment.
The position is exempt from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so may result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
