Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef for an Indian Restaurant to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven supervisory and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production.
* Plan and create innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
* Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to specification and presented beautifully.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and menu items.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively to maintain profitability.
* Conduct regular quality checks on all dishes before they are served to guests.
Skills
* Proven experience in a Head Chef or similar role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff supervision.
* In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
