Commissioning Manager Location: Hull, UK (On-site)

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000
We’re working with a leading international mechanical engineering contractor known for delivering innovative, high-quality projects across life sciences, semiconductors, and advanced industrial sectors. As a Commissioning Manager, you’ll lead the critical final stages of Electrical project delivery — ensuring all systems are rigorously tested, validated, and ready for seamless handover. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team on-site in Tralee, taking ownership of technically complex commissioning programmes for major clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all Electrical commissioning activities across the project lifecycle
Develop and execute commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules
Ensure all testing, validation, and system start-ups meet quality, safety, and timeline requirements
Collaborate closely with project teams, engineers, and stakeholders to align on integration and delivery
Produce commissioning documentation and reports in line with regulatory and client expectations
Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement effective, timely solutions
Uphold strict safety standards and maintain quality compliance throughout
What We’re Looking For:
Electrical engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience delivering commissioning on pharma, biopharma, semiconductor, or data centre projects
Strong understanding of commissioning methodology, testing, and validation processes
Skilled at reading and interpreting P&IDs, drawings, and system specs
Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing commissioning phases end-to-end
Proficient with MS Office and commissioning/project management software
Strong communicator with excellent client-facing and coordination skills
Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and solution-driven
