A Staff Nurse post has become available on the Gynaecology ward. This ward includes a hours triage service, bedded inpatient unit and a day case/theatre direct admissions unit. The role would include working alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality, patient centred care to a wide range of patients with gynaecological conditions. Common emergency conditions include early pregnancy complications, pelvic pain, ovarian incidents, post-operative complications and many more. We also have operating lists days a week, if which our nursing assistants work alongside the nurses to provide post-operative care.
The successful candidate would need to be motivated, organised and possess outstanding communication skills. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.
You will receive an annual appraisal and personal development plan which will enable you to have structure within your role and help you to develop both personally and professionally. You will receive an orientation period and training during which you will be able to visit other areas related to women’s health and you will have a named mentor.
The post is up to hours a week, working hour shifts days a week, both days and nights.

You will be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, capable of leading and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and passionate about delivering high-quality, Holistic care to patients and their families, as well as supporting junior colleagues and student.
