Medivet Thurmaston 24-hour Hospital is a recently refurbished practice with a longstanding loyal client base. We provide out-of-hours support to local Medivet and Non-Medivet clinics within the area.
The practice is well equipped with the latest technology, including three consult rooms, ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray room, endoscopy, ortho equipment, etc. The working hours for this role are Saturday and Sunday, 7pm-9am. You'll be supported on shifts by an RVN and rotational VCA.
This ECC role is a great position to keep you engaged while treating our clients’ family members. It’s important that, while confidently working sole-charge and offering critical support, we deliver high standards of care and maintain a warm, attentive environment.

Role Accountabilities

In this role, you will:
* Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
* Provide excellent care to clients, with clear updates on patients.
* Maintain high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
* Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
* Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills.
* Complete clinical handovers and coordinate transfers for patients needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Support and share clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
* Experience in delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
* Effective team player with clinical leadership skills.
* Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their contribution to clinic performance.
* Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues for optimal team performance.
