A multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Forensics Engineer for their growing office in Windsor
Responsibilities:
* Conduct residential and commercial forensic investigations to analyze/determine structural damage for insurance companies, attorneys, private homeowners and property owners
* Investigate and assess damage due to catastrophes
* Prove evaluations are correct by researching technical publications and literature
* Apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards
* Provide client with detailed forensic engineering reports outlining cause and origin of damage
* Manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines
* Provide clients and team with timelines and project updates
Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering or closely related discipline required
* Master's Degree preferred
* 6+ years of experience in architectural or engineering
* 1+ year of forensic engineering experience required
* E.I.T. required
* PE License or RA License preferred
* Experience working with law firms and insurance companies preferred
* Experience with depositions and expert testimony preferred
* Prefer management and supervisory experience
* Experience with premises and walking surface investigations
* Experience with product defect cases preferred
* Candidates with experience in accident reconstruction and automotive failure analysis considered
Salary is commensurate with experience.
