Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Stockport (September Start)
Teaching Personnel is supporting a successful and inclusive secondary school in Stockport with the recruitment of a full-time Teaching Assistant to begin in September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learning and inclusion across KS3–KS4.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing in-class support for pupils with a variety of learning needs
* Working 1:1 or with small groups in targeted interventions
* Supporting students with SEND, low literacy, or confidence issues
* Assisting with classroom management, resource preparation, and pastoral support
* Helping to implement EHCPs and support plans in collaboration with the SENCO
What We're Looking For:
* Prior experience working with young people (ideally in schools or youth settings)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and compassionate approach to behaviour and learning support
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential
* A valid Enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Role Details:
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
* Ongoing contract with opportunity for a school-based permanent role
* Start date: September 2025
* Pay via Teaching Personnel: from £89 to £95+ per day, depending on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
