AVA are supporting our client whoa re looking for a highly skilled Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join their growing engineering team. In this role, you will lead structural analysis activities from concept through production, driving excellence in our tools, methods, and technical frameworks.
What You’ll Do
* Lead preparation of analysis plans, schedules, and deliverables for structural analysis projects.
* Collaborate closely with IPT Leads and Program Engineering Managers to meet project objectives.
* Analyse new and existing turbomachinery designs for stress, vibration, and lifing requirements.
* Participate in round-table reviews with Structures Technical Focal Points and project engineering teams.
* Produce and maintain structural summary documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Mentor junior engineers (E1 & E2) and support their technical development.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of hands‑on industry experience in stress analysis of turbomachinery or combustion hardware.
* Strong knowledge of structural analysis methods, solid mechanics, and strength of materials.
* Proficiency with finite element tools such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, or NASTRAN.
* Ability to troubleshoot FEA challenges and interpret engineering drawings.
* Understanding of gas turbine component behaviour, structural failure modes, and design criteria.
