Support Worker – Wallington (Job ref – PK62930)
Our client in Wallington is an established Residential Care Home which provides person-centred support for up to 7 clients in a comfortable and supportive environment. They are rated Good in all areas in their most recent CQC report and a part of a settled, independently-owned care company. They support clients with learning disabilities and autism, and some challenging behaviour.
The service is well served by multiple bus routes, is only a short walk from Wallington train station, and also offers free on-site parking. They now have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join their passionate team of Support Workers and Seniors. Staff provide practical assistance to support clients, whilst enabling them to live fulfilling lives as independently as possible.
Support Worker pay rates starting at £12.35 per hour with paid breaks!
These are full time or part time, permanent roles working 24 to 36 hours per week plus optional overtime.
Requirements of the Support Worker role:
* Support Workers with previous experience working within care homes or supported living
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (Preferred but not essential)
* Previous experience of working with clients with learning disabilities (Preferred)
Responsibilities of a Support Worker:
* Work collaboratively within a team of other Support Workers and Seniors
* Supporting residents to access the community
* Promote independence
