Medical Secretary - Band 4 - Permanent - 16 hours
Are you an experienced Medical Secretary looking for NHS working opportunities with fantastic typing and secretarial skills? A great multitasker with a good eye for detail?
As a Medical Secretary, you will work alongside our highly motivated Medical Secretaries and be part of our team on a flexible basis. Our Medical Secretaries provide a confidential medical secretary service to the Consultants and other members of the Clinical Team, enabling the delivery of an effective, efficient and timely service to children and families.

Responsibilities
* Autonomously provide medical secretarial support to consultants and the department, including organising consultant workload and managing diaries.
* Deal with office correspondence, including complaints and medical legal documents, track investigations, perform general typing, and handle enquiries.
* Ensure clear and concise communication with the Support Secretary to manage patient pathways using IT tools provided.
* Carry out duties in line with national and local targets and achieve KPIs.
* Provide an efficient and high-quality service to support the Secretarial & Administrative Team in managing waiting lists, bookings and scheduling, and ensuring targets are met.
* Work as part of a centralised team with other Medical Secretaries, Booking & Scheduling Coordinators, Secretarial Support Clerks and Administrative Support Clerks, providing cover as directed by the manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Proven administrative skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload to tight deadlines.
* Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines with initiative and flexibility.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to liaise with staff at all levels.
* Ability to maintain a high standard of work and confidentiality.
