Role Available: Specialist Inclusion Teacher – Havering Protocol Education is partnering with a specialist school in Havering that supports children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. We are currently seeking a qualified teacher (QTS) to join the school as a Specialist Inclusion Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for a permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering highly adapted and engaging learning experiences for pupils with MLD, SLD, ASD, and PMLD. You will work closely with support staff and specialists to ensure that every child has access to a personalised curriculum that promotes progress, communication, independence, and wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and is confident working in a highly supportive SEND environment. Applications are welcome from both experienced SEND teachers and mainstream teachers looking to transition into specialist education. A flexible, reflective, and pupil-centred approach is essential. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Full-time, long-term role Key Responsibilities: • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of complex learning needs • Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment • Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and engagement • Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and wider school staff • Track and assess pupil progress, ensuring learning targets are meaningful and achievable • Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans The Ideal Candidate Will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Have a strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching practice • Be confident working with pupils with complex SEND needs • Demonstrate patience, resilience, and creativity in their teaching approach • Be able to build positive, consistent relationships with pupils and staff Additional Information: Training such as Team Teach, Manual Handling, Hoist Training, or First Aid is desirable but not essential, as the school provides ongoing CPD and specialist training opportunities.
