Product Owner - Exterior at Tata Technologies
Tata Technologies is recruiting a Product Owner based in Halewood assembly plant, responsible for the development and delivery of exterior components and systems across our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and own the exterior product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with company goals.
* Translate customer needs, market trends and brand values into compelling exterior features.
* Lead cross‑functional collaboration with design, engineering, manufacturing and marketing teams during vehicle launch.
* Act as primary decision maker for exterior product features, materials, finishes and performance targets.
* Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of exterior components – body panels, lighting, trim and coatings.
* Prioritise and manage product backlog ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
* Troubleshoot fit/fitment issues and quality non‑compliance using problem‑solving tools.
* Ensure all exterior products meet regulatory, safety and environmental standards.
* Champion sustainable materials and design practices where applicable.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design or related field (Master’s preferred).
* Extensive experience in product ownership or management, preferably in automotive, consumer goods or construction.
* Strong understanding of exterior systems, materials, manufacturing processes and design principles.
* Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex product portfolios.
* Excellent communication, analytical and decision‑making skills.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and PLM tools.
* Experience with CAD tools and design validation processes (preferred).
* Knowledge of sustainability standards and lifecycle analysis (preferred).
* Passion for aesthetics, innovation and user‑centred design (preferred).
