City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking to appoint a permanent HR/Payroll Administrator. Applications are invited from HR & Payroll Assistants with experience.

Salary range: £26,403 – £28,142 (Grade 4)
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Contract type: Full time – Permanent
Role Summary
The HR/Payroll Administrator will provide HR and Payroll support across the Council and its partners, logging customer requests, supporting Tier 1 queries, undertaking clerical duties, and processing new starters, leavers and payroll changes within the system.
Key Responsibilities
* Log customer requests ensuring they are processed within agreed timescales and in accordance with set standards.
* Conduct accurate payroll related calculations.
* Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Manage a varied workload responsibly.
* Use initiative to resolve customer queries at first point of contact.
* Interpret work and tasks to deliver timely outcomes.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional customer service to all customers, stakeholders and team members.
* Use IT and communication skills to handle HR/Payroll/Pensions duties; be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Qualifications & Experience
GSCE level or equivalent with recent HR/Payroll experience.
Must be able to log customer requests, conduct payroll calculations, prioritise and meet deadlines, manage varied workload, resolve queries at first contact, interpret tasks for effective delivery, offer positive professional service, and possess strong IT and communication skills.
