Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit aDirector of Earned & Owned Mediabased near Marlowtolead and oversee all non-paid media channels– including PR (traditional and digital media relations), owned content (blogs, newsletters, brand content), social media, influencer partnerships, experiential marketing and events.

What will the Director of Earned & Owned Media at BWP do?

As a new role for the agency, you have scope to make the role your own, but your key responsibilities will include:

1. Strategic leadership and planning

* Work with department heads to develop and implement holistic earned & owned media strategies aligned with clients’objectivesand overall agency vision.
* Build integrated communications plans combining PR, content, social, influencer and experiential output in a coordinated way (notoperatingin silos).
* Define annual/quarterly goals, KPIs, and success metrics;monitorperformance across earned,ownedandshared channelsanduse thisdata to optimise ongoing strategy and provethevalue of earned and owned media.

2. Leadingand overseeinga cross-functionalteam ofEarned and Ownedmediaspecialists to deliver high quality work and high impact results

* Take ultimate accountability of non-paid mediateams,workand performance
* Lead, manage and overseethe teams responsible for:PR, Media & Influencer relations; Content and Owned Media; Social Media Strategy & Community / Engagement; Experiential, Activations & Event-based Marketing
* Manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to meet both client and agencyobjectives.
* Define team structure and roles; recruitandmentorteam members;evaluate team performance; set clear responsibilities and expectations.

3. Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management

* Coordinate and collaboratewithother agency leads (including theHead of Client Services, Head of Paid Media, Creative Directorand CommunicationsDirector)toensure integrated, coherent storytelling across all organic and earned touchpoints.
* Work closely withthe Business DevelopmentManager, Business Directorsand Company Directorsto ensure the growth of non-paid media channelsand clients.

4. Relationship building and growing your clients

* Develop andmaintainstrong personal relationships with senior client stakeholders so BWP is seen as a valued and respected member of their extendedmarketingteam
* Attend and present at client meetings and understand the bigger client picture.
* Liaise with clients,executivesand external partners/stakeholders; advise on communications strategy, media positioning,influencerand experiential opportunities.
* Identifyadditionalopportunities to grow margin and standing; sell in new projects and ideas to clients with passion and enthusiasm; work with colleagues to drive account growth.


What do I need to showcase in my CV to stand out?

Forthis senior role,wearelookingforsomeone who has:

* 10+ yearsdemonstrableexperiencebuildingbrand reputation, drivingengagement, and amplifyingclient visibility
* Proventrack recordof leading integrated earned & owned media campaigns (PR, social, influencer,contentand/orevents) across multiple clients/brands.

Ideally,the majority ofthisexperiencewill have beenwhilst workingat a similarly sized and/or paced creativemarketingagency, though you may also have freelance or consultant experience.

We are looking for someoneleading cross-functional teams andoperatingat a senior levelwho:

* Understands the broader marketing mix andhas the ability tocollaborate across paid, earned, owned, shared channels
* Has excellent media relations and influencer / partnership networksand theability to secure high-impact coverage and collaborations.
* Has a good understanding of social media platforms, trends, content formats, communitymanagementand digital content distribution.
* Iscomfortable handling crisis communications, reputationissuesandreactive media situations.
* Hasexperience in experiential marketing or events (live activations, brand events, launch events, influencer events).
* Has strong leadership and project management skills and isableto coordinate multiple campaigns, teams, stakeholders,budgetsand timelines
* Isable touse data and insight to shape strategy, measure impact, present results to clients or senior execs.
* Isn’tafraid to challenge clients or briefs. Enjoys pushing boundaries and finding new, creative ways of doing things (embodying our value Brave).
