Main Responsibilities Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Work collaboratively with the EYFS Lead and teaching staff to ensure continuity and progression across Nursery and Reception. Create a safe, engaging and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, independence and a love of learning. Observe, assess and record children’s development, contributing to individual learning journeys and progress reviews. Foster strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues. Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of St Philip’s in all aspects of school life. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies are followed consistently.Person Specification Essential: Full and relevant Level 6 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g. BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent). Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. Experience working with children aged 3–5 in a nursery or school setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting all children’s learning and wellbeing. Desirable: Experience within a school-based nursery.
