We have a great opportunity for a Calibration Technician - Level 3 (Resident Professional) to join our team in Halton City, TX! The successful Calibration Technician (Resident Professional) performs calibrations at customer site, facilitates on-site and off-site calibrations, maintains calibration records and maintains calibration standards at customer site at a level that satisfies traceability and audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Perform equipment recall for equipment past due and coming due
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all calibration activities
* Maintain all calibration program related documentation to meet customer and TRESCAL requirements
* Ensures all calibration activities meet customer and TRESCAL traceability requirements
* Works with purchasing department to specify calibration requirements and coordinate supplier activities
* Retrieves or Services equipment for calibration throughout the customer site where necessary
* Returns equipment from calibration to proper locations throughout the customer site where necessary
* Perform calibrations on customer equipment
* Prioritize workload to meet customer process needs
* Communicate current status of all activities to customer
* Support customer audits as they relate to the calibration program
Requirements
* Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent: Military calibration training preferred
* 5 years previous experience in calibration; minimum of 2 years of experience of Field Calibration experience highly preferred
* Military training or experience (PMEL or TMDE or GPETE or Electronics) OR an Associate Degree in Electronics (or related technical field); OR equivalent work experience & training.
* Experience in calibrating or working with several different disciplines of test & measurement equipment such as: temperature, pressure, dimensional and optical.
* Working knowledge of of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 requirements
* Very good organizational skills, meticulous with details
* Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening skills.
* Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Internet research, data entry, etc.
* Experience in interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner and providing an excellent customer experience.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs
