Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Facilities, Engineering
Location: Towcester, Northampton, NN12 8EQ
Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours with occasional overtime
The company is a leading UK engineering business specializing in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Their scope includes pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, facilities management, and other engineering services. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical maintenance engineer to join the company's Facilities Engineering Team supporting a high-profile facilities management contract in Towcester, NN12 8EQ.
Responsibilities
1. Work on-site at a major manufacturing facility in Towcester as part of the hard services facilities team.
2. Perform planned, preventive, and reactive electrical maintenance on engineering assets across the site.
3. Carry out fault finding and repairs on mechanical equipment, including steam boilers, refrigeration plants, air handling units, effluent plants, street lighting, and electrical infrastructure.
4. Conduct periodic inspections and compliance checks according to the maintenance schedule.
5. Perform small electrical installations, socket moves, light bulb replacements, and lighting unit replacements.
About You
* Ideally based in Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, or Buckinghamshire, with a commute to NN12 8EQ.
* Demonstrable experience in an industrial electrical maintenance environment, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
* Strong electrical engineering background.
* Electrically qualified to NVQ Level 3, with 2391 Testing and Inspection certification.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus overtime and other benefits.
