Role Overview
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will build long‑term relationships with new and existing customers, supporting them through key milestones in life. You will deliver excellent customer service, manage till operations, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to branch and corporate targets.
Responsibilities
* Have good conversations with members and prospective members to understand their needs and explain how our products and services can support them.
* Deliver excellent customer service, address enquiries, find solutions, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Manage all till activities and ensure meetings at the counter are maximised.
* Complete tasks for customers to help them manage and maintain their accounts.
* Work proactively and collaboratively with other colleagues across the Society to deliver great customer outcomes.
* Contribute to the achievement of branch and corporate targets.
* Support members through key life events using our financial products.
* Engage with local communities, businesses, and partners both within and outside the branch.
* Operate on a changing rota basis; Saturday work between 9:00 am–12:00 pm may be required.

* Experience in a similar role within Financial Services.
* Passionate about providing strong customer solutions.

* Approachable, helpful, member‑focused – placing members’ needs and the local community at the heart of all work.

* Flexible to work where our members need you most, which may involve split hours between branches.
* Eager to develop knowledge; interested in career development opportunities within the branches.

* Salary up to £25,250 FTE per year, depending on experience.
