As an Operations Manager based in our Melmerby Distribution Centre, you’ll be responsible for:
* Direct responsibility for 4 Team Leaders and indirect responsible for 80 warehouse colleagues
* Planning and organising the warehouse activities efficiently
* Monitor staff performance and motivate to perform effectively against KPIs and SLAs
* Ensure the team comply with H&S, IOSH and company policies and procedures
* Investigate and resolve any issues that arise in a timely and effective manner
* Identify and implement cost controls and savings initiatives
This is a full time permanent role working 37.50 hours a week, Monday to Friday 2.00pm - 10.00pm.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
* A full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential
* NVQ Level 3 – Management or Equivalent
* Sound Warehouse and Transport Experience
* People Management and people development experience
* Excellent Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation
* Advanced Systems Knowledge – Thorough understanding of all transport and warehouse management systems
* Budgetary Experience – Exposure to setting and implementing budgets
