An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Management Accountant to become an integral member of our finance team. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts as well as working with the finance team supporting both purchase and sales ledger.
Main Duties
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Complete full balance sheet reconciliations in connection with the above.
* Ensure all ledgers are properly maintained and reconciled.
* Provide cover and support for both sales and purchase ledger, for some entities you will be required to complete this full function autonomously.
* Complete VAT returns, Intrastat returns and all other Government statistical returns by the due dates.
* Prepare and report on Weekly Sales Flash data for All Entities highlighting variations.
* Participate in the annual audit, ensuring all financial records are accurate.
* Assist with financial analysis as required.
* Work closely with the wider accounting team to ensure all financial operations run smoothly.
Essential Criteria
* AAT level 3 qualification as a minimum.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent organisation and time-management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Works well in a team environment.
Training
* The successful candidate will be required to complete AAT Level 4, this will be supported by Day release progressing to further CIMA Study upon completion.
