Our long-standing client is looking for a Sales Manager to work with senior leadership on a European project focused on underwear, loungewear and socks for a well-known international brand.
The brief is to bring deep category sales expertise into the business to help build a credible commercial and growth plan for the region. This is not a general apparel role. The focus is firmly on underwear /socks where specialist market knowledge is required.
The Role
Working closely with the leadership team, the Sales Manager will support the development of a European sales strategy, advising on route-to-market, key accounts, and growth opportunities.
The role is initially being approached on a consultant / project basis due to the urgency and specialist nature of the category. There is a strong likelihood for this engagement to extend, with potential to move into a longer-term or permanent position, subject to project progress and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and support a European growth plan with clear KPIs
* Conduct market and competitor analysis across underwear, loungewear and socks
* Define account segmentation and service models (key vs field accounts)
* Advise on pricing, volume, margin and distribution strategy
* Lead and support strategic European wholesale accounts
* Experience engaging with large retailers and buying groups
* Support contract setup and negotiations with key customers
* Curate and strengthen the overall customer base
Category & Product Input
* Feed sales insight into range planning and assortment decisions
* Protect best sellers while ensuring newness and relevance
* Strong understanding of underwear, lounge, swim and socks categories
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work with finance teams on financial planning and forecasting
* Partner with marketing to support product launches and seasonal moments
* Contribute to wider internal strategy discussions where required
Market Presence
* Support trade show strategy and execution
* Build relationships with key retail decision-makers and influencers
* Strong exposure to European wholesale / licensing models
* Senior account or regional sales background
* Comfortable operating at senior leadership and brand-owner level
* Commercial, pragmatic and confident in a consultant-style role
