We are on the lookout for a nearly or newly qualified Risk Actuary who is ready to dive into the world of financial risk with enthusiasm and a fresh perspective. What You'll Do:

As a newly qualified risk actuary, you will play a crucial role in our team, working closely with experienced professionals to assess and manage financial risks. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Risk Assessment:Analyse and evaluate financial risks using actuarial techniques and models.
* Data Analysis:Dive into large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that will inform our risk management strategies.
* Reporting:Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate your findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
* Collaboration:Work alongside other departments, including Finance, Group Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance to ensure a holistic approach to risk management.
* Innovation:Bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table, helping us stay ahead in a rapidly changing financial landscape.

The areas covered by the team include:

* Reserving: Oversight of reserving processes to ensure adequate provisions for future claims.
* Capital Management: Support the business with risk and capital assessments for new products, businesses, and propositions.
* Model Validation: Validate actuarial models and expand the function’s remit into wider model validation across the group.
* Stress and Scenario Testing: Lead the department’s contribution to the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), stress and scenario testing, and capital management activities.
* Business Plan and Strategy: Provide support to several areas such as IFRS17, Reinsurance, and the Internal Model Application Process.

We are seeking a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also brings a fun and engaging attitude to the workplace. The ideal candidate will have:

* Qualifications:A nearly or newly qualified actuary with a strong academic background in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations.
* Analytical Skills:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Communication:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information.
* Team Player:A collaborative mindset, ready to work with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
* Curiosity:A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a passion for staying updated on industry trends and developments.
