We have an excellent opportunity for a Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Mental Health Service for Older People (MHSOP), based at the Bennion Centre, Bradgate Mental Health Unit.
The team providesinterventions which support individuals to meet their occupational goals inorder to improve functioning and will play a large part in this, working closely with individuals bybuilding positive therapeutic relationships and facilitating their engagementin a variety of interventions.

Main duties of the job
Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) has therapy staff working within In-Patients on designated Organic and Functional Mental Health Wards and within Community Mental Health Teams throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Your primary rolewill be to work under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist,following delegated therapeutic treatment plans to work towards patient'sgoals. You will work closely with the wider Therapy team and multidisciplinaryteam.
The role is varied and requires using initiative and creativity when working 1:1 and in groups. Excellent organisational skills are essential as is flexibility along with the genuine motivation to improve the quality of life of those you work alongside.
