About The Role

Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low‑carbon electricity.


What you'll be doing

The CWA communications manager will be responsible for establishing, developing and supporting CWA internal communication channels and creating suitable content for these channels. He/She will play an important role as part of the CWA comms team, supporting the CWA head of communications where required, ensuring that the communication priorities for the CWA are addressed. They will work in close cooperation with the Sizewell C comms team on site.

Other responsibilities include providing support for external communications, crisis communications, digital comms/social media and branding activities.


Responsibilities

* Raising and maintaining the CWA profile on site, promoting the CWA Values and Behaviour Expectations in the process.
* Sourcing content and preparing regular staff briefings.
* Managing content and its distribution across all CWA’s internal communication channels.
* Providing guidance and support to other members of the communications team.
* Liaising with and building solid working relationships with the comms team at Sizewell C and the comms teams of the alliance partners.
* Working closely with the delivery and support teams to help ensure that key information is effectively disseminated across the project, as required.
* Preparing edited content suitable for differing audiences.


Skills & Experience

* Significant experience in communications, working in a busy environment in which priorities need to be managed.
* Experience in managing communications activities on‑site on a major construction project.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* An eye for detail.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Team player.
* Availability for 42 hours per week.
