Central Basildon PCN is seeking a highly skilled ANP to join the team at Langdon Hills Medical Centre. The role supports care for frail elderly patients, minor illnesses, and chronic disease management, working in conjunction with our PCN and integrated neighbourhood team. The position is for 16 hours per week, ideally across two days. This is a locum, self-employed role with a salary of £60,000 per annum (pro rata), approximately £2,100 PCM for the specified hours. For employed status, NI and pension contributions would be deducted from the monthly budget.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver high-standard patient care using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and broad knowledge;
* Assess, diagnose, and treat patient conditions, initiate referrals as appropriate;
* Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and colleagues;
* Develop innovative models and practices to improve primary care services;
* Promote patient health through education, screening, and communication;
* Prescribe medication safely and effectively as an independent prescriber;
* Lead and participate in research and audits;
* Provide leadership, education, and training to healthcare professionals and students;
* Support and care for a diverse patient group as part of our multidisciplinary team.

You will hold a contract with Basildon Health Ltd on behalf of Central Basildon PCN, a collaborative group of nine GP practices serving approximately 51,000 patients. Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered general practice nurse with current NMC registration;
* Master’s level ANP qualification;
* Independent prescriber qualification.
Experience
* Ability to work autonomously;
* Leadership experience in various settings, including teaching and mentoring;
* Innovative, forward-thinking approach to healthcare;
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
* Experience working across multi-professional and multi-agency boundaries;
* Compassionate and respectful attitude, valuing patient and colleague dignity;
* SystmOne experience is desirable.
