Nearest Tube/Station: Not applicable. Client’s home is in a remote location.
Wage/Salary: £18.00 Weekdays £20.00 Weekends Gross per Hour. Weekend rate, Midnight Saturday to Midnight Monday.
Driver Essential? Yes, and with access to your own vehicle to travel to and from the family home.
Essential: Experienced childcare professional and keen to learn new skills particularly in complex medical care.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Waking Nights: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 7.30pm to 7.45am. Full and part-time contracts available.
Family/Client Pets: Yes, dog, cats, guinea pigs, and chickens.

About our client
Snap Care has had the pleasure of recruiting for Benji’s care team since he was 18 months old, he is now 11 years old and the team expanding. Benji lives in his fully adapted home in Rotherfield with Mum, Dad, and his 2 siblings. He loves gaming, sensory play, story time and going for long walks. Benji is diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and has associated complex medical and care needs including PEG (Tube Feeding), stoma catheter management and airway suctioning. Benji is a full-time wheelchair user and uses Eye Gaze to support his communication.
Overview of role
This is an active waking night shift as Benji requires frequent assistance and clinical support throughout the shift. Hourly routine care is provided, and documented, which includes tasks such as PEG management, administering medication, suctioning, and personal care. Benji will wake throughout the night and require comfort and reassurance to help him get back to sleep. Bespoke training is provided, and you will work alongside a long-standing member of Benji’s team until you are confident and competent in all aspects of care. Ongoing support and supervision provided by Benji’s case manager.
