Programme Facilitator – Canterbury Playcentres
Casual | Starting 1 June 2026
* Casual, as and when needed
* During term time only
* Session times: 9.30am – 12.00pm or 12.30pm – 3.00pm
About you:
You are reliable, work well with others, and feel confident supporting whānau in a group setting. This role offers a chance to build your experience, develop new skills, and make a positive impact on families’ parenting journeys.
You will also have:
* Minimum Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification (L4 or above desired)
* Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this
* Proven ability to engage confidently and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Strong organisational capabilities, including time management, meeting deadlines, multitasking, and balancing detail with overall objectives.
* NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
About the role:
You will provide support to the lead Programme Facilitator, including:
* Setup of the sessions, ensuring any equipment is safe and clean
* Support activities such as music and movement, play, crafts, and kai time
* Building relationships with whānau and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment
* Ensuring session admin tasks are completed on time
