LOCATION: The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury – we are a hybrid working office so there will be a blend of office and home working

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overview of the role.
The purpose of this role within the Community Cricket Team is to create and develop a thriving network of community cricket hubs across both our 'Street Cricket' and 'Super 1's' Hub programmes. These programmes are fundamental in Kent's strategy to deliver accessible and inclusive cricket experiences for everyone in Kent. This is a hand-on programme management role, managing two members of internal staff as well as a team of external 'contract' cricket coaches.
Street Cricket:
· Oversee the operational running of 12 Street Clubs across South London and Kent, ensuring sustainability and growth.
· Lead on event management and delivery of competitions, including the annual Street Slam Cup and other showcase tournaments, ensuring high-quality participant experience and smooth logistics.
· Report weekly to Chance to Shine on performance against KPI targets, including participant attendance, retention, and progression routes into hardball cricket.
· Maintain and enhance club ethos and coaching standards, embedding positive behaviours and safeguarding practices.
· Support line-management of internal and external coaching staff, providing rota management, mentoring, and CPD opportunities.
· Deliver financial reporting and administration for the Street programme, including budget tracking, expense monitoring, and submission of funder reports.
· Support regional oversight of London delivery and act as a point of contact for local partners, venues, and community stakeholders.
· Contribute to promotional activity, including editorial and media opportunities, to raise the profile of Street Cricket within Kent and London.
Disability Hubs & SEND School Delivery:
· Manage and coordinate the operational running of 4 Disability Cricket Hubs across Kent, ensuring safe, inclusive, and engaging sessions.
· Oversee delivery in SEND schools and community settings, linking school activity to sustained participation at hubs.
· Lead on planning and delivery of disability competitions, festivals, and events, including logistics, safeguarding, and volunteer management.
· Line-manage the Lead Disability Coach and casual staff, ensuring rota management, high coaching standards, and professional development support.
· Recruit and contract additional coaches (internal and external) where required, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and qualification standards.
· Deliver financial reporting and administration of the Lord's Taverners programme, including hub attendance monitoring, funder reporting, and budget management.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, local councils, community groups, and the ECB/Lord's Taverners, promoting disability cricket opportunities across the county.
Support strategic development of new hubs, including Canterbury and other priority areas, working with local stakeholders to establish sustainable provision
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
· A passion for sport and supporting young people to develop through sport
· Ability to plan and organise your own projects to achieve desired outcomes
· Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
· Strong team player with ability to work in a hybrid office environment
· Effective communicator and the ability to engage with people of all levels
· Computer literate and effective user of Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft programmes
· Ability to travel independently between various sites of work
Desirable:
· Event/project management experience
· Staff management and leadership
· ECB Core Coach (or equivalent) cricket coaching qualification
· Experience working with children and young people in community settings
· Knowledge of inclusive practices and disability sport
· Experience or knowledge of EDI (Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) initiatives and ability to contribute to a culture of inclusivity across programmes.
