Overview
You will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Electrical qualifications, supporting students from Level 2 through to higher education courses. You will guide learners through practical workshops and classroom sessions, helping them develop both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills required for a career in the Electrical industry. You will work closely with Course Leaders to design and develop curriculum materials that reflect current industry standards, including schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources, as well as assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
Your input will help ensure that courses remain relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry expectations. You will bring real-world industry experience into the classroom, building links with employers and incorporating practical insights into your teaching. You will provide both academic and pastoral support, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where students can develop confidence and achieve their potential. Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching across Electrical qualifications from Level 2 to higher education.
* Design and develop curriculum materials reflecting current industry standards (schemes of work, lesson plans, and innovative teaching resources).
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental initiatives and quality assurance.
* Incorporate real-world industry experience into teaching and build links with employers.
* Provide academic and pastoral support to students in a safe, inclusive environment.
* Collaborate with Course Leaders to ensure courses remain engaging, relevant, and aligned with industry expectations.
* Support learners across levels from Level 2 through to higher education.
Qualifications
* Teaching qualification (must be willing to work towards PGCE if Level 5 not already held).
* Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent qualification).
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).
* Relevant experience of working in the Electrical industry relating to electrical installation.
