Overview
As a QMS (Quality Management System) Engineer, you will be the driving force behind maintaining and improving our quality systems in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure products and processes consistently meet the demanding standards of the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
QMS Development & Maintenance
Manage and continually improve the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
Lead document control, procedure updates, and system audits.
Auditing & Compliance
Plan and conduct internal audits; support customer and third-party audits.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented and sustained.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
Facilitate structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
Drive closure of non-conformances and lessons learned deployment.
Cross-Functional Support
Partner with engineering on APQP/PPAP documentation and launch readiness.
Support supplier quality initiatives and incoming material controls.
Continuous Improvement
Promote lean and Six Sigma tools within the QMS framework.
Identify gaps in system performance and propose improvements.Qualifications
Proven experience in a Tier One automotive environment.
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
Certified internal auditor (IATF/ISO) preferred.
Strong communication and facilitation skills; ability to influence across functions
