Were recruiting Management Accountant. This role is based at our Skelmersdale location.

Responsibilities
* Manage month-end and year-end financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, including monthly P&L and Balance Sheet.
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with group timetables, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
* Assist in preparing annual budgets and reforecasts, providing insightful variance analysis.
* Maintenance of the fixed asset register and the associated controls.
* Completion of accurate bank reconciliations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial targets are met.
* Ensure accounting policies and procedures align with group standards.
* Provide financial advice and insights to senior management.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Key skills & experience
* Proven experience as a Management Accountant is essential, ideally within an FMCG environment.
* Qualified/Part Qualified (Final Stages) CIMA/ACCA.
* Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
* Previous experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous.
* The ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
* A proactive and adaptable approach with a desire to contribute to continuous improvement.
