The role and outcomes expected of each Divisional Lead for NMAHP Research and Innovation include working cooperatively with the Trust and University to set and maintain standards, especially those related to building research and evidence base to enhance patient safety.
This means that sometimes they will have to take on a leading role for the organisation in a specific research capability and capacity initiative.
The Divisional Lead for NMAHP Research and Innovation will collaborate with the partners to:
1. play a key role in aligning Corporate and Divisional research and innovation activity for the nursing, midwifery, AHP and the research workforce.
2. encourage and facilitate NMAHP research skills and potential across the partnership, and support the creation and implementation of provision and policy to enable opportunities
3. ensure that research and innovation activity can show clear benefits to patients, carers and our workforce.
