The Role
This is a full‑time hybrid position, primarily based in Cliffe Woods, Kent, with flexibility for some remote working.
As a Client Service Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding client experience. You’ll act as the key link between clients and advisers, ensuring seamless communication, efficient administration, and a consistently high standard of service. You will also contribute directly to the advisory process, supporting the creation and delivery of high‑quality financial advice.
As a Client Services Advisor, you will make an important contribution to the day‑to‑day running of the practice. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Understanding and adhering to the SJP Advice Framework Guidance
* Liaising with SJP and the FCA to obtain appropriate licences promptly
* Updating clients’ financial information, including assets, employment, income, and expenditure
* Understanding clients’ financial goals and attitude to risk
* Identifying opportunities where financial advice is required
* Assisting in the creation of personalised financial plans based on life stages, circumstances, and needs
* Ensuring all financial activities comply with industry standards and SJP policies
* Supporting the onboarding process for new clients, including documentation gathering
* Assisting with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, actioning fund switches, and processing withdrawals
* Staying up to date with financial markets, products, and regulatory changes
* Managing and nurturing client relationships with professionalism and care
* Participating in client meetings, providing support, and responding to enquiries
* Ensuring a smooth and positive client journey from onboarding to ongoing service
* Maintaining accurate and compliant client records
* Ensuring Annual Review Letters are completed within SLA timescales
* Building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure ongoing advice remains appropriate
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* All R0 qualifications (or equivalent) – fully qualified adviser status
* Previous experience within St. James’s Place Wealth Management
* Strong interpersonal and client‑facing skills
* Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
* High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
