Deputy Manager – Residential Children’s Home (EBD)

🕘 Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm + On-Call Duties
We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a high-quality solo occupancy residential children’s home, alongside supporting a respite service, for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and well-structured service.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and respite service
*
Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
*
Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and records are maintained to a high standard
*
Promote positive outcomes for young people through consistent, trauma-informed practice
*
Take responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted standards
*
Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership during out-of-hours situations
Requirements
*
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
*
Previous experience in a residential children’s home, ideally with EBD
*
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
*
Sound knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted requirements
*
A resilient, calm, and child-focused approach
*
Full UK driving licence (essential)
