Job Title: Personal Assistant to Bohunt Education Trust

Location: Bohunt School, Liphook

Reporting to: Director of Education, Director of Improvement & Development, and BET Leadership Team

Working hours: 22 hours per week, term time only (flexible)


Job Purpose

You will work closely with the Directors of Education and Improvement and their teams to provide high‑standard personal administration, enabling leaders to focus on delivering outstanding education across our schools.


Responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for staff, governors, councillors, parents and other stakeholders seeking access to the Directors.
* Organise and prioritise the Directors’ administrative workload, ensuring timely responses to agreed priorities.
* Maintain the Directors’ diaries, arrange appointments and brief them on discussion points.
* Make travel arrangements for the BET Leadership Team and welcome visitors, including providing refreshments.
* Assemble and prepare documents required for meetings, reports or information requests.
* Liaise with senior management concerning priorities, deadlines, policies and procedures.
* Maintain clear and effective filing, records and systems, keeping them updated.
* Run small‑scale projects on behalf of the Directors, such as events.
* Carry out other duties as assigned by line management.
* Operate in line with BET’s policies, values and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
* Ensure and maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, innovative and supportive environment within the Trust.


General Requirements

* Take personal responsibility for your own learning and development.
* Comfortable using meeting and conference software (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
* Knowledge of IT software packages, including the Google and Microsoft suites and Outlook.
* Experience taking key action points from meetings.
* Ability to prepare and organise travel itineraries.
* Flexible and open to change, contributing to team success.
* Undertake any reasonable duties as requested.


Person Specification

* Work to a high level of confidentiality.
* Good general educational standard including GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Language grade A–C.
* Able to work independently and take initiative.
* Work constructively and effectively as part of a team.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Ability to manage busy and challenging diaries.
* Establish priorities and meet agreed targets and deadlines.
* Remain calm and focused in a fast‑paced environment.
* Work well under pressure.

* Experience working with senior leadership.
* Utmost confidentiality and discretion.
