Play House Day Nursery, Nursery Practitioner, Band 2, 19 hours per week, Based at Sutton, Surrey.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to care for the children of staff at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. We require a reliable, flexible member of the team showing initiative and commitment. An ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form will be essential. Applicants must have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education and level A-C in GCSE English. • To work in partnership with other team members, providing support and assistance in all areas of the nursery as necessary.
• To provide excellent care and education to children within the area of work.
• To plan and implement activities/experiences which are appropriate to children’s needs and stages of development, using the EYFS curriculum and OFSTED guidelines.
• To work with OFSTED and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Early Childhood Environment Rating (ECERS). Work with the team to carry out a termly audit of the provision.
• To have a good awareness of children’s individual/group needs, and a good understanding of childcare issues and child development.
