Overview
NHS Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to work within Gainsborough Urgent Treatment Centre, delivering face to face consultations. You will join a team including Senior and Urgent Care Practitioners, ACPS and HCSWs, with duties that involve minor illness and minor injury skills to complement the existing team.
Responsibilities
* See, treat, manage and discharge or refer patients of all ages with minor injury and minor illness.
* Handle consultations face to face or via telephone and document thoroughly within patient notes.
* Influence, lead, support and motivate colleagues to maintain morale in difficult and challenging situations.
* Provide clinical lead during shifts by modelling professional attitudes and behaviours in the LCHS behaviours framework.
* Support other urgent care services such as UTCs, home visiting and the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) as required, with access to daily GP support remotely or in person and established referral pathways to specialities.

* Band 7, Salary £47,810 to £54,710 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
* Contract: Permanent.
* Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time, Flexible working.

Job Description

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Health Professional with current registration.
* Degree level or equivalent; evidence of Level 7 study.
* Level 6/7 History Taking qualification.
* Independent prescribing / supplementary prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards.
* HEI or LCHS approved minor injury and minor illness courses; paediatric course.
Desirable
* Leadership modules; recognising the sick child; chronic disease management.
* Teaching/assessing qualifications (e.g., Mentor Preparation, SLIP, Clinical Educator).
Experience
Essential
* Significant post-registration autonomous experience in a highly specialised area or transferable skills.
* Clinical leadership experience.
* Teaching/supervising/assessing experience; working in multi-professional settings.
* Experience leading service improvement, audits or research.
Desirable
* People management and general management experience.
Other Requirements
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check – post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975; disclosure will be required.
* UK professional registration is required.
