Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistant to provide 1:1 support for our 10-year-old son in our home. He has recently lost his sight and requires additional care to help him live as independently and happily as possible. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential. No prior care experience is necessary—full training will be provided.
--- Responsibilities Provide support with daily personal hygiene and care needs. Deliver tracheostomy care, PEG care, and feed machine management. Assist with ventilation, oxygen support, and peritoneal dialysis (training provided). Support the development of communication and use of aids. Maintain accurate records of care and report any changes in condition. Engage our son in conversation and activities to promote emotional and mental well-being. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Help our son enjoy his childhood while supporting his medical needs.
