Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. You will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and early childhood education, along with strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
* Provide attentive and compassionate care to children aged 0-5 years.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
* Ensure the nursery is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times.
* Drive initiatives that encourage children's curiosity and creativity.
Experience
* Previous experience in childcare or a nursery setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate children.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
* A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development.
* A valid driving licence would be advantageous but not essential.
