Town Planning Consultants (full and part-time) – all levels
The Tyler Parkes partnership is approaching its 30th year and is one of the largest independent planning consultancies in the West Midlands.
Due to our growing workload, we have vacancies for permanent and part-time town planners at several levels: Senior, Principal and Graduate.
We have an exciting and varied pipeline of work and are looking to grow our team by the addition of further experienced Planning Consultants. Projects include commercial, residential work and public sector work, including planning appraisals, applications, appeals, enforcement and development planning work across the Greater Midlands area.
Having in-house architectural staff means that you will be involved in many varied projects the start through to permission and will be given schemes for which you will be responsible for from inception through to seeing those through to practical implementation.

Work:
We have a great team spirit and a supportive work environment. Depending on your work experience, your role may include: -
•Leading on a range of projects.
• Liaising and negotiating with various stakeholders including developers, other specialist consultants and planning officers.
• Preparing documents for input into projects, such as planning support statements and appeal submissions.
• Presenting to planning committees, and appearing at hearings, inquiries, and examinations.
• Development Plan Policy Documents representations; and
• Identifying new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base.
To be successful, you must be a team player, be able to manage competing demands on your time and be self-motivated. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Your experience should be varied in terms of types and sizes of projects.
This position requires you to be MRTPI and have a full driver's licence and access tp a car for site visits.
