We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Preston area. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons while ensuring all pupils are supported to reach their full potential.
Year 5 Teacher Required
Location: Burnley
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for transition)
Contract: Full-time – MAT cover
Salary: £120 - £150 per day then AWR is addressed after 12 working weeks
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
* Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and needs
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
* Maintain strong behaviour management and classroom organisation
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable)
* Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
* Is passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupil development
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills
* Is committed, reliable, and adaptable
