A professional and well-presented live-out housekeeper is sought for a high-end family home located in Kensington, London. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday with two days starting and finishing later. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and have excellent attention to detail. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a structured household, is child-friendly, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation. Occasional support with school drop-offs or collections may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Full household laundry and ironing, including care of delicate fabrics
* Complete care and cleaning of the home
* Wardrobe management (organisation, seasonal rotation, minor repairs)
* Light family cooking (simple, healthy meals)
* General household organisation and tidying
* Basic sewing and mending where required
* Keeping kitchen and utility areas clean and well organised
* Occasional school drop-off or pick-up if needed
* Supporting the household to run smoothly with minimal direction
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar private household role
* Strong organisational skills and excellent time management
* Ability to work independently with common sense and initiative
* Confident cooking light meals for the family
* Excellent English is essential. German is a bonus but not required
* Must be child-friendly, with a flexible and positive attitude
* Trustworthy, discreet, and reliable
* Must live within a commutable distance to Kensington, London
* Willingness to travel occasionally with the family (if required)
