Take your career somewhere a little more delightful with Booja-Booja – an award-winning, fast-growing chocolate and ice cream company. We’re looking for a passionate and organised Customer Account Manager (Wholesale) to join our friendly team on a maternity cover basis.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building strong customer relationships, has a keen commercial eye, and enjoys working in a close-knit team that’s driven by quality, creativity, and care.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing key wholesale and tertiary retail accounts across the UK and Ireland. Your goal will be to maximise sales opportunities, ensure excellent customer service, and support the continued growth of Booja-Booja through effective account management and business development.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and manage annual sales and expenditure budgets for each account in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
* Develop tailored marketing and promotional plans with input from the Sales and Marketing teams.
* Conduct monthly reforecasts of sales and spend to maintain accuracy.
* Contribute to the company’s wider new business development strategies.
Account Management & Growth
* Build and nurture long-term, values-aligned relationships with wholesale partners.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow account revenue and market reach.
* Actively target new potential accounts to expand distribution.
* Understand customer needs through regular communication and tailored support.
* Ensure customers are equipped to deliver our products to the end consumer in excellent condition.
* Liaise with any third-party sales agencies to ensure performance against objectives.
Governance, Reporting & Admin
* Provide monthly reports to the Sales Manager, including sales updates and variance analysis.
* Represent customer perspectives in internal meetings to support sound, customer-centric decision-making.
* Conduct annual reviews of joint marketing plans and overall account performance.
* Maintain accurate records of communications and activity using CRM systems.
* Handle all customer forms, account admin, and T&Cs efficiently.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and manufacturing, to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in account management, preferably within wholesale or FMCG sectors.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Commercially minded, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and delivering growth.
* Highly organised, proactive, and confident juggling multiple priorities.
* A team player with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
