Duties
Assist manufacturing operations by resolving technical challenges, including matters related to design, documentation, and product specifications.
Design, source, and implement tools and fixtures necessary for production processes.
Lead the introduction of new products, starting from the initial quotation and design reviews to defining equipment needs, planning production layouts, and handing over to the manufacturing team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to Lean manufacturing projects to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste.
Coordinate the transfer of products between production sites to improve overall operational efficiency.
Act as a key liaison between manufacturing and other departments such as Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning.
Participate in safety evaluations, including risk assessments and ergonomic studies, to ensure a safe work environment.
Conduct root cause analysis using the 8D methodology for issues related to yield, assembly, or product quality, when necessary.
Carry out any additional job-related responsibilities that align with the scope of this role.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in the assembly and testing of hydro-mechanical systems or similar engineered products within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production processes, procedures, techniques, equipment, and systems related to assembly and testing operations.
Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software is beneficial, though not mandatory.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Eng.) is preferred, but not a strict requirement.
Minimum qualification of HNC/HND in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.
